do i need to buy a wiring kit separat for this system or does all the wires neede for instalation come with the box

Posée par: Andr34s
Hi, and thank you for your interest in JBL! In the box you will find wires for the tweeters, to connect to the crossover networks. Wires to connect the head unit to the crossover, and from the crossover to the woofers, must be purchased separately, or are already in the car (head unit to crossover). This is because the lengths needed vary a lot from installation to installation. I hope this helps.

Hi I am currently running a set of jbl 6500c club in van I am now looking to purchase a jbl stage 810 sub and locate this in the van to, the question I need help with is which would be a good amp to run these to get the best from them. regards Mike

Posée par: t5mike
Hi, and thank you for supporting JBL! I recommend JBL Club 4505 for your setup. You can bridge the four main channels to have 2x130 W into 4 Ohms, and you will have the sub channel with 320 W to the 4 Ohm 810 woofer. That will make an impressive system.

I listen to techno and progressive house mostly. I already have a JBL bass tube 1300W. Should I go for this or the GTO 609c for the front doors of Honda Amaze? Please suggest!!

Hey JBL, could you tell me the impedance of the woofer and tweeter independently please? I am looking for replacements for my Harman Kardon Mini which has its own dedicated outputs so won't be using the Cross over supplied. Kind regards,

Posée par: Wod7
Hi, and thank you for your interest in JBL! I am sorry, but we do not have individual specs for combination sets. And also please note that the crossover network is made for this specific purpose, with these two exact drive units. We do not have specs for crossover frequency and steepness of the flanks either, so you are totally on your own. All warranty will also be void if you do not use the standard crossovers. The only way I can see you can do this is to use a simple multi-instrument to measure DC resistance, then use this as a coarse guide for the impedance. If you read 3.5 Ohms, at least you will know that this is not an 8-Ohm unit. I know that this measurement is not completely correct, and if you want, you can of course set up a real impedance-measuring circuit. You can find them on the net. Also, you can run a sinus sweep through the crossover with the drive units connected, and note the levels on paper that you can read off a sound level meter, freely available as an app for your phone. I hope this helps.
